What StockistsMap is
StockistsMap compiles information about independent retail businesses in the United Kingdom, the brands they stock, and how to contact them as businesses, and supplies that information to makers who want to sell to those shops.
Information about shops
We hold business information about shops: trading name, address and postcode, website, business telephone number, enquiry form address, the brands the shop is listed as stocking, and the shop's legal form as recorded at Companies House. It is collected from public sources: the stockist and "where to buy" pages that brands publish on their own websites, the shop's own website and online catalogue, Companies House, and Office for National Statistics postcode data.
Where a shop is run by an individual, such as a sole trader or a partnership, some of this is personal data. Our lawful basis for holding it is legitimate interests: supplying business-to-business contact information about a trading business, drawn only from information that business has itself made public. We do not hold home addresses, personal email addresses or the names of individuals, and we do not supply email addresses for shops that are not limited companies. Lists we supply state which shops may lawfully be emailed and which may not.
If you run a shop and would like your listing corrected or removed, email us and we will act within ten working days. Removal means the shop is marked as opted out and no longer appears in any list we supply.
Information about buyers
If you request or buy a list we hold your name, your brand, your email address, the category and region you asked for, and our correspondence. Payments are taken by a card payment provider; we see the payment confirmation but not your card details. We use this information to deliver what you ordered, to answer your questions, and, if you have agreed, to tell you when a subscription version is available. We do not sell or share buyer information.
How long we keep it
Shop records are kept while they are current and are refreshed against their sources. Buyer records are kept for six years for tax purposes and then deleted.
Your rights
You may ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to our use of it, by emailing the address above. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

This site sets no cookies and uses no analytics. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the page loads.
